Which One Are You?

Some will push me higher, while others will drag me down.

Some will soar with my thoughts, while others will crawl with my shadows.

Some will fill me up, pouring pieces of their own soul into me, while others will empty me with bitterness and their noise.

Some might say that I am a wordsmith, who lubricates words with a pen filled with my own seawater tears so I could write an ocean of love for her.

Others claim that I am a fraud, hiding in between lines.

Some might say that I am a narcotic in the rawest form, you can get high on my words, the kind of high you would get when stardust runs in your bloodstream and galaxies tangled in your mind.

Others claim that I am a drug dealer, and you are that drug addict who keeps coming back for more.

Some might say that I am a human wreckage, who writes suicide notes that turns pain into the most beautiful form of literature that deserves to be placed in the museum.

Others claim that I am a serial killer of words, who brutally murdered the Mother Nature as my pages filled with heinous, savage crimes committed in the name of love.

Some might say that I am a guardian angel, my words can heal your broken heart and mend your shattered soul with patchwork more beautiful than ever before.

Others claim that I am a God’s favourite cupid, and my words are the most deadliest weapon known to humanity when you immerse in my calligraphy of love.

Some might say that I am a divine being of flawlessness, when you chant my words as if they were a mantra that sounds like the prayers you have never heard before.

Others claim that I am a sorcerer, and my words are hypnotic spells seducing your soul to be a slave to my words.

I can see two types of people. One that recognizes beauty, values authenticity and savours art. Another that is caged in reality, senses normalized and just another weave in a pale shawl.

See I found a way to escape time, whilst you are still a slave to its chimes. And while you accuse me of madness, blasphemy, hypocrisy, I can only hope that one day you will see the world through my very own eyes.

  1. Beautiful! Everyone have a beautiful way to see the world! Both side of coins helps to toss the improvement! Where appreciation helps in rising confidence and criticism helps to improve! What matters the most is never let rise enter your head and don’t allow the downfall to tear you apart! Walk on your path and do what you wish to as in both circumstances you are the decider of your decisions as the world only knows to give suggestions whether you want it or not!

    Words are sometimes
    like heavy metal pieces
    that fall onto the floor
with the loudest of all noises,
    devoid of meaning and
    shallow at their very core,
but like you I want more:
I want words to spring out
    of a fountain of beauty
    exuding nothing but truth,
so I thank you for the follow
to make me feel a bit less hollow.

I’d say you are both a creator of magic and an outlet of pain, and we are both the content observer and the distasteful commenter. None is good nor bad, though one is always preferred. In the end I can only speak for myself, and everything about me is a walking contradiction. What you take from that is up to you. I think your poem is beautiful, but the only one that needs to think so is you. You are your greatest masterpiece.

Your poetry skills are lit man. So raw and authentic and I see a very important theme being drawn throughout the poem: don’t live your life for what others say about you… march to the beat of your own drum. I resonate with that.

  72. What’s important, I think, is how do you see your words? You have a gift of descriptive language–similes, metaphors, word painting. It looks like you believe your perspective is unique and sometimes rubs people the wrong way. What would stop you from writing what YOU see, not what you think others think you see… see?

You’re so young, you’re so professional. Really a kind of a young robot. Maybe if you’d live, not a woman, for a while (some years) with a real woman, and listen to a freely speaking stumbling book: more soil and burning not only wind and unctuous and rapacious wet: because nobody is any “which one”, and you sound unreliable. I personally prefer reality when somebody’s fantasy kills existences.
